Edward Braman's genealogical notes, ca. 1850-1910, on the Braman family of Hyde Park and elsewhere, and the related Adams, Teel, Hitt, Dusenbury, Weaver, Garrison, Russell, Sexton, and other families, and particularly the Van Vliet family. Also, Braman family certificates, deeds, accounts, and receipts, 18th and 19th centuries. Of note are a notice, 1797, from the City of Norwich to Cyrus Braman ordering him to go "on guard this night at 2 o'clock for the security of the city from fire and other casualties;" certificates appointing Samuel Braman to be a sergeant in the New York State Militia, 1825, and a Captain in the 84th Regiment, Infantry, 1830; a notice, 1831, announcing a grist mill for sale in South Canton; and a 1788 deed between Joseph Andrews and John Braman.
